hi, i’m caitlin
I started in magazines, writing for places like Cosmopolitan, VICE, and Refinery29. Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't just interested in telling stories. I wanted to build the brands behind them.
Ten years later, I've done exactly that for beauty, wellness, and lifestyle companies. I develop voice, story, and strategy, then make sure it all holds up across every channel and touchpoint. I work best close to leadership, solving problems I wasn't necessarily asked to solve and getting involved in corners of the business most marketers don't touch.
I'm based in L.A., originally from the Midwest, and I still think like a reporter: curious, thorough, and always asking why people care about the things they care about.

I average 50-60 books a year. If you also read, consider yourself warned: we will talk about books.
My dog Lux Interior is named after the unhinged frontman of the Cramps. He is, thankfully, extremely well behaved.
I've been doing Pilates since before it was a whole aesthetic (20 years and counting!). I used to teach bootcamp in college, too.
If you're building something worth talking about and need brand strategy, content, or creative direction, I'd love to hear about it.
